No new build for this week.
After 0.2.0 last week, I sat down to plan the roadmap to 0.3.0 and what the next milestone should look like.In additional to various ux fixes, 0.3.0 will aim to have the basic route completed.
The basic route in this case will be the “standard” run for the game. This is the path to victory without any secret paths or alternate endings. This is similar to the Olmec run in Spelunky 1, or Tiamat in Spelunky 2.
For now, the planned standard run will consist of 8 levels, including the 4 levels that are currently in the game. The next 2 levels planned will be the Abandon Mine.
The key feature that will also be introduced as part of the Abandon Mine levels will be Lighting. The light system is a key system for Mines and future levels, as there may not be tall grass for players to sneak around.The players will now have to rely on low light levels to walk around enemy or escape the sight of enemies.This will also makes navigation harder as the player’s vision become limited due to the limited light.
