Stable Release 0.2.0
Explore the Abyss 0.2.0 marks an important milestone for the game. After prototyping for close to a year, I have finally decided on a project to commit long term. As not to make this release post too long, you can read the prototyping postmortem here. This release marks the start of getting the game from “tech-demo” to “1.0”.
0.2.0
This version contains:
- 4 unique levels, each with their own layouts
- 20+ items
- 10+ enemies
- 15~60 minutes of gameplay, depend of how familiar you are with roguelikes
- A optional boss
- 2 Unique items to collects.
Although the game is currently playable, it is nowhere near completed and there are a lot more to be done and expanded upon. The goal is to have at least 15~20 unique levels, with branching paths and secrets.
The game is planned to be a commercial project, so do follow the project if you are interested and want to be updated on the development. I planned to continue to update the web version for a while, using it as a demo for anyone interested in the game.
